5 Places Celebrating Halloween With Beer This Weekend

From dog Halloween costume contests to newly released beers and ciders. 

Last Halloween was on a Thursday with a ton of parties and events throughout Broward County. This year, you can stay out all night with no worry about work the next day. But of course, you have to worry about the pandemic.

That doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate. Broward Beer put together a list of safe, socially-distant Halloween-themed events in the local beer and brewing industry.

Each requires a face mask aside from a Halloween mask…

1. Halloween dog costume contest at Gulfstream Brewing Co.

  • What: Dress up your pooch in a Halloween costume.
  • Where: 1105 NE 13th St. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
  • When: Fri. Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Judging begins at 9 p.m.
  • Why go: It’s free. There’s a chance to win a $50 cash prize or gift card for runner-ups.

2. Hallowbeer at Fat Tap Beer Bar and Eatery

  • What: Halloween party
  • Where: 830 E Oakland Park Blvd STE 101, Oakland Park, FL 33334
  • When: Sat. Oct. 31, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
  • Why go: Craft draft beers are $5 all night. There will be a D.J. and Halloween costume contest, and one for dogs.

3. Broski Ciderworks Halloween cider release

  • What: Broski is releasing four new 16 oz. Halloween-themed cider cans
  • Where: 1465 SW 6th Ct, Pompano Beach, FL 33069
  • When: Sat. Oct. 31
  • Why go: You love cider, want to celebrate Halloween but aren’t ready for a party. Broski is pre-selling cans online to pick up on Halloween. One is a mystery can. The guest who correctly guesses what the cider is gets a $100 gift card.

4. 3 Sons Brewing Co. Halloween costume party

  • What: Halloween party

  • When: Sat. Oct. 31 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
  • Why go: First place gets a $25 gift certificate for the taproom. Runner up gets a 4-pack of Ocean Park pilsner or Antique Alley amber ale.

5. Full moon beer release at LauderAle

  • What: LauderAle releases a new beer every full moon, which happens to fall on Halloween

  • When: Sat. Oct. 31, from 3 to 8 p.m.
  • Why go: New beer on draft
